Fall has arrived! I love the changing of seasons, and autumn is by far my favorite. There’s never a lack of fun activities this time of year; the air is light and crisp and the kitchen welcomes me to make all of our favorite fall foods! From the HOME kitchen, we made and tasted all of Becky Calvert’s meatless Mondays recipes, which are all comforting and delicious!
We have another beautiful showcase home featured in this issue. Together, Alex and Jon Steltzer renovated their home and it’s stunning. Thank you for opening your home to us!
The fall issue would normally reveal the winners of our Readers’ Favorites awards, which allowed you to nominate and vote for your favorite home- and garden-related local businesses and service providers. James River Media paused Readers’ Favorites for 2024 to look at a possible restructuring for the future. We will be exploring opportunities that might allow us to include other divisions within our company and community.
We know so many people enjoyed this annual list, as it provided a ready-made list of local service providers. Don’t worry, we still have a great resource for that: our advertisers! I encourage you to read through the magazine and look at our advertiser list; it’s a great place to start when looking for local companies and organizations within our community.
